Hello

For those of us on Facebook, have you or any of your friends seen the 1-minute personality tests? Some of them seem pretty accurate. If you participated in a personality assessment, would it replicate your friends’ assessment?

On that note, here’s today’s Holy Nougat™

Then Barnabas brought him to the apostles and told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the way to Damascus and how the Lord had spoken to Saul. He also told them that Saul had preached boldly in the name of Jesus in Damascus. Acts of the Apostles 9:27 NLT

Imagine for a moment that you are Barnabas.

  • What was your initial response to the Lord upon discovering that Saul was now one of God’s Chosen?
  • What motivated you to be Saul’s liaison for the Jerusalem meeting with the apostles?
  • How did you prepare for the Jerusalem Face-to-face?
  • Were you confident of a positive response from the apostles? If no, what made you continue with the Introduction of Saul, the former murderer, to the apostles?

You see, we all desire to have supportive friends like Barnabas for those moments when we’re in Saul’s shoes. But how many of us would be described as a Barnabas by our friends? Is that something we aspire towards? Why/not?

Today,, let us be on the lookout for opportunities to be supportive to those in need.

Salaam and Shalom

In Christ’s love and grace
