Remember yesterday’s imagery of God as the mama bear? Hold it, as we chew on today’s Holy Nougat
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16 NLT
A baby bear when it spots its mama has no need for anxiety – it knows Mama will provide. Whether food, protection or just the knowledge that mama is near; no need for anxiety. So it should be with us and God.
We KNOW Our God is powerful and separate from us. So much so that Moses, who only saw YHWH from the back, had to be veiled afterwards. Yet, in Christ, we have direct access to YHWH. The issue now is what to bring when we step without fear.
How about Everything
YHWH God, wishes to be directly involved with ALL aspects of our lives. Bar none! God doesn’t only help us with the good things; God desires all. The joys, concerns, fears, the random, the painful, the funny, the outright hilarious and even the sinful. God’s mama bear instinct seeks us and calls us to God’s self. All we have to do is accept the invitation. Sins, fears, and all.
So, what shall we do?
