Nougat 25

Published on

Recently, we considered the implications of the current times and sessions for our lives. One aspect involved our willingness to share Y’shua with this world. Not all of us are blessed with the gift of gab, and the prospect of sharing our faith, especially if we’re in hostile environments, may seem daunting. Today’s Holy Nougat could be reassuring for us.

Luke 21:14-15 NIV

[14] But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.

[15] For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

Allow God to Speak Through Us

My dear siblings, whether we’re gifted or taught preachers, our Nougat reminds us that this gospel isn’t ours. It’s God’s. Whether we’re being martyred, or we’ve been called to missionary service; whether it’s End Time ministry, or in the here and now, the Gospel of Y’shua belongs to God. As such, we rely on Y’shua and God’s Spirit to speak life giving words through us.

Self-Check

How comfortable are we with relying on God for what to say as God’s emissary?

Application

We’re encouraged to allow God to speak through us in fiery situations. Y’shua’s Sermon on the Mount assures us that we’re blessed even when we face persecution for the Gospel’s sake (see Matthew 5). We see this demonstrated in Acts when the disciples (Y’shua’s graduates) received God’s Spirit and had to explain this thing that had overtaken them. Later they articulately defend their faith, effectively silencing their oppressors. What could have emboldened those normally fearful disciples to speak so confidently, save for God’s Spirit? How could they have found the words to say, barring God’s Spirit, given their literacy level?

Siblings, if we find ourselves too challenged because of our youth, I’m inviting us to remember Timothy. If we are intimidated because of our age, have a chat with Anna the prophetess. I assure us, that if God wishes to speak through us, God only asks that we are willing. If we are, then I assure us, God is able. Might we offer ourselves to God’s service once again today?

Point to Ponder

Are we ready and raring to be God’s mouthpiece in any situation? If yes, our next step is to tune our hearts to God’s frequency, so we hear clearly.

May all we seek be found in Christ
