Nougat 25

Published on

Hello, hello, hello

How are you this beautiful Saturday? I pray that it is well with you and family. And how is your prayer life? Is it a balance between petitions for self and intercession for others? Sometimes the best way to get past our own issues is to be a champion for another.

Take today’s Holy Nougat for example. Despite his situation, Paul chose to focus outward. Check it out …

“Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy,”. Philippians 1:4 NLT

What if we were to truly personalize to Nougat, to think of ourselves writing or saying those words. Could we actually say this? I couldn’t. Although I do pray FOR individuals specifically, I don’t pray all the time for everyone. And sometimes there is NO joy attached to the prayers. But, that can change by God’s grace.

And we can start small. For example, we can identify three persons (outside of our immediate circle) to include specifically in our prayers, and rotate as we are led. Or, if intercession is already part of our routine; ask the Lord to lead us in praying for someone who needs serious intercessory intervention. Times are serious enough that there’s someone whom YHWH will lay on our hearts. We just have to be open to the move of the Spirit.

It’s time to get this prayer meeting underway. Let’s pray for our three people right now!

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
