Recently I’ve been challenged to praise God through all circumstances. Not easy, but feasible and worth my while.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing (Beracah), which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the Lord there. It is still called the Valley of Blessing today. 2 Chronicles 20:26 NLT
Threat averted. Victory won without an actual battle ensuing. God’s glory revealed in the overturning of powers which were too real to be ignored and too natural to be any match for God’s supernatural self.
Right there where the battle should have been waging, the people gathered in praise to YHWH Sabbaoth. The praise was so intense the Valley was renamed Beracah, that is Blessing, as a reminder of what the Lord had done.
Can you remember YOUR Beracah story? Where your praises won the battle and you celebrated God’s faithful provision? Is Beracah still a much visited site in your life, and why/not?
Would you be willing to direct a wandering soul to their own Valley of Beracah? That is, by standing in the gap with praise in your hearts and on your lips?
