I pray that you’ll feel God’s presence with you everywhere, and that you’ll tap into the power that is ours in Christ Jesus.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6:10 NIV
Having found the strength in God which comes with practice, we are called to harness the power that is ours in Christ Jesus. This is the power which transforms us and also authorizes and equips us to be victors in the battle for our souls.
Everything mentioned in the epistle was leading in to this main message … The relationship issues, the social imbalances, the adoption argument and the celebration of who we are through Christ … When all is said and done, we win the battle by relinquishing control and subsequently accepting God’s power unto salvation. For (all flesh is grass) our own strength is puny and ill-suited for that which wages presently and ahead.
And here’s the joy – if we’ve fought in our own strength prior, God is willing and able to equip us at this point. If our strength is fading, God’s power will endure.
In the midst of a battle royal? Switch strategies – let God fight for you. Experiencing good times – practice deferring to God. And no matter what, build the inner core with the Word and prayer, fellowship with others and honing your spiritual gifts.
