We’ve prepared and anticipated, and now the moment is at hand. How ready are we to receive the Holy One?
Here’s today’s nougat
For he who is Mighty has done for me great things – and Holy is his name. Luke 1.49
She knew what could possibly happen. But she praised God (the Mighty One) anyway.
And I’m transported to Psalm 24, by Mary’s acknowledgement of God’s continued provision. For there, the Mighty One provides access to God’s holy hill; blessings upon entry, vindication in the face of the enemy; AND defence from whatsoever the enemy throws or way.
As we await our own breakthrough, our own directions for the assignment God has in store, for that which NEEDS to be birthed by God through and for us, let us bask in the assurance that our Lord is Mighty in battle, and that OUR Lord IS the Lord of Hosts (ie, commander in chief for the angels) and our Lord, the Holy One wishes to do great things for us.
