A quick read of the news indicates that there is a perception of God’s children being powerless. For, instead of hope and positive transformation, there’s a plethora of fear, despair and hopelessness. For those of us interested in impacting our communities, today’s Holy Nougat offers one way of being effective change agents.
“Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:”

So the king was in a rage and threatened the lives of the mediums and diviners in his court. But the king didn’t realize that servants of the One, True and Righteous God were in his midst. They were. And they were in one accord.
Unity in purpose is an asset for ministry. We note that the three young men had not even been with Daniel, yet they were included in the miracle. That’s unity at work. Would we have thought about sharing?
Jesus, when sending the disciples out, had them travel in pairs. Unity and the power of agreement in sync. What about us? When ministering (assuming we do minister), are we lone rangers or do we have even one accountability/prayer partner there with us? Have we grasped how critical it is to be supported by and supportive of others?
Some of the most successful churches in the world – in South Korea – have a basement prayer room where a group remains in prayer for the duration of each worship service! Have we been praying for our ministry spaces? Do we see merit in undergirding the ministries which feed us spiritually, with prayer? And have we been praying for our own ministry?
Today I challenge us to identify our power-in-unity accountability/prayer partners (if we haven’t already done so) and start moving the heavenlies with our prayers. It’s time to transform circumstances around us.
