Nougat 24

How much are you trusted? Do you inspire confidence and is it warranted? Serious points to ponder in anticipation of today’s Holy Nougat

“No accounting of this money was required from the construction supervisors, because they were honest and trustworthy men.” 2 Kings 12:15 NLT

I scarcely can wrap my head around that declaration – Because the supervisors were established persons of integrity, no one insisted that they prove how the monies were spent! Now that is trust.

What’s even more important is that there is no mention of them abusing the trust placed in them.

What if that was any one of us? Whether for handling moneyor any other activity requiring us being trustworthy- would folks KNOW beyond question that their faith is warranted? Moreover, the supervisors probably held themselves accountable to God for that’s the One whose trust in us truly matters.

Perhaps we hold ourselves accountable to God also and recognize that it is in God’s strength that we remain trustworthy – whether it is money, gossip, sexual urges, lies, coveting/living like the Joneses or work ethic.

Were the annals of history to include the work we are currently responsible for, what would it report about our integrity? In Christ, may it be a great report!
