Hi
Today I’m song-less. But I’ve got a Word. And that word is even more comforting than a song. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“I am the Lord , the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27 NLT
If God IS God; then the Word to Jeremiah still stands. That means
A. God is sovereign for everyone
B. Especially when life seems impossible, there’s room for God to turn things around.
God of all peoples means that blessings and retribution is outpoured to and for all (remember rain falls on the just and unjust). That means old, young, sinner, saint, rich, poor, believing, hopeless and anny other who might not fit readily in any category. Whether we acknowledge God or not; God remains God!
The impossible becomes possible when God is in the mix. God is a game- changer. Though oftentimes, not according to our script and timelines. And that’s encouraging because we are assured that God is not a yoyo. It becomes hard to hear when we align with ‘Ask believing and receive’, or the “persistent prayer of the righteous can accomplish many things”.
When we consider however, that Jeremiah received this Word prior to Israel being punished, and that Elizabeth and Zechariah received a similar Word prior to the birth of John; we realize that only God has the outcome of our circumstances – even when thins are going our way.
So what next? We walk according to God’s path and remain open to God’s direction. We remain honest before God and remind ourselves that it ain’t over until God says so. We claim the promises received and never let go until God’s Word comes to pass.
Indeed.
Christ’s love and grace . . .
