The sinful people includes Me! And it’s true! I do get carried away with gift-giving and going the extra mile for those who I care for. Who doesn’t? That’s what we do and are taught socially. The extreme expression is a reminder that we are capable of missing God’s standards; we all sin. We even make a mess of our relationships with others on a fairly regular basis. Yet innately, we do know what it is to care and honor others’ needs above our own.
God’s version of giving us ALL we need is slightly different. God doesn’t lavish us only with what we desire. We are lavishly gifted a new day filled with enough challenges to invite us closer with God and abundant blessings to help us ‘see’ God at work in our lives.
And, we are gifted with the Holy Spirit; God’s Spirit of Wisdom and power. Accompaniment for every journey. Direct access to God’s ‘inner sanctum’. Lover of our souls when everyone else would rather forget us. Interpreter of our heart thoughts when words are not enough. Peace for the onslaught when life is roughest.
The Air we need; less than a breath away! Just one ask away. Always available.In Good and Bad times. No hidden costs or fine print. We already know God’s pitch – God desires greater intimacy with us and makes provision for that.
