How are you
Isn’t it a great day to please the Lord?
Here’s today’s nougat
Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. 2 Chronicles 20:11
Note the ownership reference: God’s possession … Our inheritance. We must never lose sight of ownership. Let us remember that most of what we claim as our inheritance are just possessions.
When they are God’s, the battle moves from USward, to UPward. Retrieval AND replacement becomes God’s responsibility. Since our God does not owe debts, what is stolen from our lives is often replaced. Usually with something much better. We fail to notice if we’re busy lamenting.
Of course, removal could also be an act of divine protection. That is, God’s removal of an idol or potential idol from our lives. Remember, God is always number 1 in our lives.
So as we pray about that which has been stolen from our inheritance, let us remember that our God owes no debt, especially for that which God has gifted us with. So we confidently petition our God.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
