Ever wondered if there are great examples of obedience to God? Check out today’s Holy Nougat

“The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

And if the wind and waves obey Him, who are we that we should disobey Him? It seems like something’s wrong with our systems when we allow ourselves to disobey One Who calms nature. And before we get offended, let’s stop and check our recent actions – have we been sinful and selfish? Despite our claims to be ‘disciples’?

And what about our doubts, like the disciples, we marvel at this man, wondering whether what He’s promised. Oftentimes the biggest challenge for Jesus is us humans, then and now. Again we look into our own lives to find evidence.

So where do we go from here?

I propose we begin with repentance and confession. Yes, we determine that we don’t wish to continue with the offending actions and seek forgiveness. And we repay that as often as needed.

Then we allow our lives to demonstrate the shift. No Nicodemus around here. Genuine believers will reflect His glory and draw others to Him. Wind and waves have nothing on us!!
