Nougat 23

Within any palace a tower was fortified and stocked attacks for long periods. There was food/sustenance and ammunition and often times barricades and even one militia, for if it were a captive, rather than locals, rescue should prove nigh on impossible. And if it were local, trustworthy kin staying there, they were secure against the enemy. As our Strong Tower, we recognize that God’s security system is top notch. Nothing gets accidentally ‘past’ God.

On a lighter note, a hiding place is selected on the grounds of inaccessibility to the unwelcome, innocuous state at first glance, as well as the comfort and security it promises the one hiding, especially mentally. As our Hiding Place, our God is all that and more.

A deliverer is one who fought our battles and one, having overthrown the enemy and rescued the captives from weakened fortresses, places of refuge, strong towers or hiding places. As our Deliverer, God does all that and offers the Counsellor to restore our Peace.

These are but some of the highlights of God’s resumé in offerings to be The One in Whom we can trust. In our weakness. When we’re weary, broken and heart broken. Before, during and after those moments when doubt and fear would seek to overwhelm us. Especially if all seems lost.

I’ve proven God as The One in Whom I trust, even when the going got rough, and when I let God in, when I rushed to my Refuge, Strong Tower, Hiding Place, to My Deliverer; Peace was my portion – every need anticipated by God and met! Physical, material, emotional, mental, financial AND spiritual needs. Regardless of my situation. No matter my occupation or social status. I guarantee that when we run to God, our Trust is in the right place. And God’s offer comes with eternal warranty! What better Source of Trust?!
