Nougat 23

Published on

Hello,

What do you do when you know God has chosen the absolutely WRONG person for the job, and God won’t admit to making a mistake? Today’s Holy Nougat™ invites us to examine the implications of that question.

But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.” Exodus 4:13 NLT

I suspect that Moses and a few of us can relate. Not only was he on pharaoh’s Most WANTED files (and confronting pharaoh meant opening himself up for possible arrest); but he also suffered from a speech impediment. Moreover, Moses was now a mere shepherd in his father-in-law’s employ. Certainly, God MUST have forgotten who Moses was when God called him to be fearless leader to the Hebrew slaves!!!

Right? Riiiight!!

But what if God KNEW Moses; knew who he was yet called him to ministry even before his birth? Suppose that was the element Amram and Jachobed saw in the ‘comely’ child even at birth?

What if God did NOT make a mistake?!

Then, it would mean that whatever disability you or I (claim to) possess have little/no bearing on God’s Purpose for our lives or the lives we come in contact with.

Then, it would mean that no matter how much distance placed between us and our destiny in Christ Jesus, God’s Will shall prevail.

Then, it would render Moses’ question irrelevant and superfluous.

Then, it would mean it’s time to listen to God and walk in our purpose.

“Lord, please send someone else.”

– No my dear, this task has been God-crafted just for YOU. Enjoy the journey!

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
