Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe, and they praised God, exclaiming, “We have seen amazing things today!” Luke 5:26 NLT
When last have you had that sensation? Is it that God no longer does amazing things, or are we taking God for granted?
You see, Jesus had done it again. He dared to speak over lives and they were healed. No gimmicks, no staged action, just real miracles.
I know I’m believing God for a few miracles myself. And I’m not permitting anyone or anything to discourage me. Regardless of the fact that major healing miracles don’t seem to be the norm anymore, I’ll continue to command healing in Jesus’s name, with expectancy.
You see, shortly after Jesus ascended, miracles still abounded.
But, some of us convinced ourselves that the miraculous and the demonic realm are figments of imagination. Yet, miracles continue. Would we be filled with wonder and glorify God if we were to be witnesses to God’s supernatural turning around of events? Or would we justify it through science or transposition of facts?
Others of us once believed in miracles. We probably operated in the miraculous or experienced God’s supernatural add-ons at least once (for seriously, being awake each day is it’s own miracle). But, perhaps God didn’t seem to come through for YOUR miracle – by not effecting it through you, or seeming to let you down when you prayed for a breakthrough. After that, believing in miracles may seem overrated.
But, whether we’re just lukewarm, burned out, or scientifically indisposed to the idea of God’s extra intervention; God desires to do great things with US! God is READY to fill us with wonder and inhabit our praises. God is absolutely ready to transform lives with us, through us, for us.
If only we were open to believing. If only we were ready. Hmmmn
Lord, we believe, transform our unbelief. I’m ready for Your fresh outpouring Lord, come Holy Spirit, come with healing, breakthrough and transformation. We speak life, and hope and restoration in Jesus’s name! Amen
