Nougat 23

Hi

So have you been thinking about your prayers now? Are your requests to God actually reasonable? Hmmmn

Something to chew on alongside today’s Holy Nougat™

Take control of what I say, O Lord , and guard my lips. Psalms 141:3 NLT

Sometimes we are guilty of ‘foot-in-mouth disease. We fail to think through what we wish to say before we speak; and so we open mouth, insert foot. At other times we are guilty of speaking death over living situations. Have you ever spoken negatively about yourself with phrases like, mi ever salt; or I’m always unlucky, or nothing good ever happens to me, etc?

If we bear in mind that the power of Life and death are converted via the tongue, we might be a little more inclined to think before speaking or praying. Furthermore, there may be instances when we ought to speak death, in order for rebirth to occur. Knowing when to speak what is a gift. God’s gift to us as believers. It’s not only requiring intellectual capacity, but spiritual capacity to hear God’s directive and act.

Asking the Lord to guard or lips while controlling or speech has the potential to mature is, open life and spiritual opportunities to us and time or ears to hear and heed God’s directions.

So when life’s heated, nervous, joyous, mischievous, draining and disarming moments come our way today, may this Nougat be our prayer,

Take control of what I say, O Lord , and guard my lips. Lord in your mercy hear my plea.

Have a go at it, God wishes to hear from each of us.

Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
