Howdy,

Ever wondered which way to go based on directives from leadership? Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™ to guide us

And the men of Israel were distressed that day: for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until evening, that I may be avenged on mine enemies. So none of the people tasted any food. 1 Samuel 14:24 KJV

No food. In the middle of battle. Even when faint. Simply because the Chief of Staff said No

Obedience is a strange one. Because one the breath – servants obey your masters, and children obey parents. But then there’s overdone unto God, or adhering to parents or masters as they obey God.

In the case above, King Saul was obeyed. But his edict was NOT of God. Despite it being a call to fasting.

And that’s where Discernment becomes vital. Discernment comes from prolonged/purposeful connection with God and God’s Word. With Discernment comes Wisdom and Direction. We WILL know what to do.

Facing a critical situation, not certain how to go forward; authority figure not necessarily in tune with God’s plans and purpose? – Time to seek Discernment, Wisdom and Direction from The One who is Able.

Just ask. You can do it!

P.s.

I am grateful to God for every one of you today. For those who do celebrate, blessed Thanksgiving!

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
