When our folks are in danger, how do we respond?
Can we relate, are we willing to intervene?
Remember that Esther was initially unwilling to get involved. Then she realized that it had implications for her. Sitting on the fence is dangerous. Either the fencing material will hurt, the fence will crash under the weight of your inaction or someone mistakes you for ‘one of them’ and you are drafted without your consent.
But Esther had that wake up call. And she was mobilized. Then she identified her prayer support (she recognized the spiritual nature of the battle) and began to prepare for war.
