What a joyful day of basking in blessings yesterday! And it was the little things … The fellowship, calls, messages on all media … that warmed my heart. My birthday was the best ever

I have a vague sense of how Mary might have felt. It was not a Jonah resignation at being called upon to serve God, it wasn’t an exultation at being more special than all other women, it was more than the recognition of God’s grace and provision which accompanies God’s appointing.
It was a soul stirring joy that couldn’t be contained. A joyful peace which reminds one that indeed, God is here. A recognition of Emmanuel – God with us. Nothing could shake her, such was her assurance in God.
As we walk in God’s purposeful provision and grace, I pray us into Mary’s soul-embedded joy.
