Nougat 22

Hello

How are you? Today’s Holy Nougat is dedicated to all of us standing at a crossroads in our lives.

“God forbid: yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment.” Romans 3:4 ASV

I’d heard those words before, ‘let God be true and all else be liars’. Their import and impact shifted when life wasn’t playing out the way I heard God promise. At that point; with disappointments bombarding from all sides (or so it felt), actually remembering God’s promises was a great stretch. I called a few – yes, a few – of my partners to pray for me; as I was beyond words.

And there it was! A cross between chastising my unbelief and encouraging my soul, the words I needed to hear. Let God be true and all else be liars. Ironically, it also indicated that I was at a crossroads in my life.

Whose report would I believe?

Honestly, I created a third path in my route by the entry point at the crossroads.

1. I exulted in God’s plans and provision for me. God was true

2. I occasionally entertained ‘what if’ thoughts. Every one else was true

3. I declared Lord I believe, move me past unbelief. I was truthful to God

My prayer partners journeyed with me until the reality of Path #1 finally materialized! God IS true; we just need to be attuned to what God has said and is saying over us.

Perhaps you are at that crossroads right now. Or you’ve been journeying with someone who is there. I pray that God’s own truth pushes the cobwebs away to affirm this truth- God’s got this. It shall be resolved in God’s timing.

Good morning

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
