Hi
How has your spiritual walk been in the face of all else that’s is happening in your life?
Here’s one perspective in today’s Holy Nougat™
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord , supported me. Psalms 94:18 NLT
Can you feel God’s supernatural support in your current distress? If not cry out, and if you already did so, cry out once again.
Remember Bartimeaus? He was blind from birth and might have accepted his condition until the day Jesus came to town. When he first cried out, it seemed as though his plea wasn’t heard. Pushing and stumbling, he pressed forth. Nevertheless, Jesus heard and healed him.
Remember the SyroPhoneician mother? Jesus was very clear in dismissing her. She chose to interpret the rebuff as a challenge and pressed her case even more vehemently. Her prayer was answered.
Remember Anna? She seemed to have accepted her state of widowhood. She’s been a widow way longer than she had been married. BUT she pressed herself into service in the temple and was rewarded when she met the Messiah before she died.
Remember Jacob? He not only strove with (the angel of) God, he refused to release his Divine benefactor from his presence until his Blessing was confirmed by God.
Remember the last time your feet slipped, didn’t God come through for you? God has not changed, and we can never be separated from God’s love. God is already at the point where we are lifted up. It’s all about trusting God.
Let’s make that investment today.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
