Greetings my dears
I trust you are well.
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat™
As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. But God kept them from recognizing him. We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago. Luke 24:15-16, 21 N7LT
Can you seriously imagine? Jesus walked with them all those years, and yet, upon His death, they began to entertain doubts about WHO Jesus was! I’m so tempted to add, “like really.” But that would be over the top.
The truth is, when what we’ve invested in crumbles, it is all too easy to forget our Source or doubt the credibility of Christ. But even then, God remains invested in the skeptical life.
So what do we do when our faith waxes dim? I have one real solution which is somewhat based on what we read earlier (but a little more proactive). Might I recommend that we cry out to God, inviting God to self-reveal.
May God’s grace be yours.
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
