I’ve become somewhat fascinated with the tiny house trend which has hit North America and Europe recently. The thought of low or no mortgages, manageable housework and living simply makes for some fun dreaming. But then, so does the idea of having room to roam. Could this be part of what inspired the thinking behind today’s gourmet meal?

Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house. Proverbs 24:27 NLT
With the Book of Proverbs being a collection of wisdom writings from a father to son, it seems reasonable to presume that we really are talking about houses. There are those however, who feel that this is more about marriage than actual building of houses. If that is the case, then what we are hearing is advice to suggest that one should make economic and other preparations before opting to undertake the seriousness of marriage.
So … single or already married, the question remains the same; how ready are you for marriage? Have the fields been prepared and the seed sown to safeguard the future? Are you truly marriage material, would others be blessed by marrying us?! Any negative answer returns us to the field for more preparation.
And as for building, let’s prepare our spaces according to what we have, and then, see whether we are ready for construction.
