Howdy do to you. Today I am well and living, thus I’m giving thanks to the One Who keeps us going. Please receive today’s Holy Nougat
“Now one of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, glorifying God with a loud voice. And he fell at Yeshua ’s feet, facedown, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.” Luke 17:15-16 TLV
It might have been sudden, or it may have been gradual but the effect was not lost on the Samaritan. Upon recognizing that he was restored to physical wholeness, he returned to the Source of his restoration. And he was filled with praise – just like Psalm 100; making joyful noise, and approaching Christ’s presence with praise and thanksgiving.
That is the way to be!
He didn’t care about ethnic, tribal, party loyalty or nationalistic differences (for none of those had helped him recover from leprosy. He was grateful for his healing! And that’s the watchword for today – gratitude.
For what are we grateful today?
– I’m grateful for first responders, who risk their own health daily
– I’m grateful for colleagues who have called to check on me
– I’m grateful for family time and daily encouragement they offer in different ways
– I’m grateful for friendship; in particular, for big and little friends (especially my ‘children’ who call/text me in their wee hours to pray and catch up
– I’m grateful that technology exists for us to keep in touch
– I’m grateful that intercessors are praying round the clock for the world
– I’m grateful that I can see the sun that is faithfully reminding me that a new day has dawned
– I’m grateful for waking with my mind in tact, and for the aches and pains, which are nothing in comparison to other people’s.
– I’m grateful for being blessed to share the nougat reflections with each of you
– I’m grateful that I know you are reading this today and might be encouraged by the reflection on God’s Word
– I’m grateful for our loving living giving God Who continues to bless us with these and so many other blessings
