Nougat 21

Good morning to you

Please receive today’s Holy Nougat, which offers hope … and perhaps a challenge.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Isn’t it a blessing to know that we are Fully Free from ALL that would keep us bound? Freedom increased productivity, improves physical, emotional and mental health. It helps us to walk lightly and confidently. Most of us are desirous of full freedom. And that is a noble desire. Maybe we desire it for others; that’s even better.

Of course it requires us entering in and accepting the freedom offered from the throne room of the Spirit of the Lord.

So even as we recognize that we have permanent access to the Throne Room,

What is it that seeks to keep us bound? – finances; debt; sexual abuse; predatory behaviour; lying; false ambition; gluttony; envy; vanity; low self-esteem; lack of self-control; poverty; vengefulness; criminal activity; mental health challenges; poverty; extortion; fear; spiritual issues; etc. when we can name what curtails our freedom we can begin to think of release.

Do we wish to be free? – too many of us have gotten complacent; it is as though we are comfortable with that which keeps us bound. So let’s do the self check and be honest with ourselves, and determine whether we really want our freedom

To whom will we turn for our freedom? – many have gone here and there, to no avail. But several of us recognize that the only Source we have is Jesus. If True Freedom is what we seek; then we must find the True Source – Jesus Christ

What are we willing to do to get free – the man had been so long bound that Jesus’ offer caught him entirely by surprise; the woman was desperate enough to reach out for her freedom; the friends KNEW that Freedom was possible in Christ Jesus, they took their friend through the roof. In our time, we storm the Throne of Heaven with praise, prayer and petitions.

My sisters and brothers in Christ, if we seek our freedom this day, if we stand in the gap for others; the Lord our God awaits us. May we find the freedom and peace we seek in Christ.
