What a promise! Jesus goes before us to make ready our eternal Dwelling and says when all is ready, He will come for us. No assistance required.
In one sense, this seems an impossible dream – who’s going to make ready any place for folks such as us? We lie, curse, steal, covet, and we think horrible thoughts about others. Moreover, in God’s own name, we destroy others for the sake of preserving our religious elite status; we ignore those in need while posting ourselves on the back for our proper religiosity; AND we bear false Wayne’s against God’s own nature by claiming God/Jesus as our Standard and Source, while going ahead and doing our own thing.
Despite all those and more, Christ loves us, died for us and is making ready to gift us with the Fountain of Life elixir as well as free accommodation forever!
