Grace and Peace to you. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“The servant watched her in silence, wondering whether or not the Lord had given him success in his mission.” Genesis 24:21 NLT
Now let’s suppose that Rebecca has overheard his prayer. To make herself the sole source of God’s solution would take some serious reflection. She would have needed to get away from Laban’s influence really desperately to volunteer for water duty.
Nevertheless, the servant was not quick to assume his prayer was answered. He sought confirmation. And that’s our watchword for today. To realize that even when we see what looks like the answer to our prayer, we ought to pause and confirm,
How does the manifestation align with what was prayed and God’s Word? Will it bear testimony to God (was the motive clearly intended to glorify God in the first place)? And, if yes, then get cracking. Don’t delay. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it.
I pray us strength and wisdom to finish whatever we have been assigned.
