Nougat 21

Greetings saints

How’s life at school and work? Not too stressful I hope. And how’s ministry? Remenber that for us believers, ministry is not restricted to pastors only. It’s Christ’s invitation to all of us.

Hold that thought as we ruminate on today’s Holy Nougat™

‘Those people worked only one hour, and yet you’ve paid them just as much as you paid us who worked all day in the scorching heat.’ Matthew 20:12 NLT

Did you note the “fine print” in the contract … That we’re each to be paid a fair day’s pay? Regardless of when we accepted Christ our aligned ourselves to minister in God’s Vineyard? Is it our task to be concerned about how the Lord rewards one person in ministry over another, or even over us? Or are we tasked with giving our best work to the One who rewards us especially when we don’t deserve it? (Actually none of us do!!!)

Let’s not be sidetracked by the unimportant things. Let us opt instead to focus on the Lord. For if we’re promised a fair day’s pay, no matter how late we started on God’s job, it is incumbent on us to ensure that our Boss gets a fair day’s work from us. Especially if we are also employed in a secular context and are prone to giving out all there.

To avoid any uncertainty about what our Lord has assigned us, let’s take it to our Lord in prayer. I’m certain we’ll each receive an answer which resonates with our spirit.

Praying us into better ministry output.

Thanks for joining us in this Divine feast.

Shalom

In Christ
