Nougat 21

Published on

Greetings

I wish to begin our telecon by extending sympathy and condolences to or kinfolk in Trinidad and Tobago as well as Jamaica, who were severely impacted by severe weather in recent days. Often we are drawn to focusing on the acts of terror in Europe and beyond, giving the impression that other places and spaces are of limited value.

Ironically, today’s Holy Nougat™ offers a different taste for our spiritual palettes…

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

Don’t judge …

One of the most difficult instructions to adhere to is that of receiving an individual or group as a blank slate. We form impressions, cast votes or even dismiss persons inerrantly, subsequent to value judgements. And, oftentimes when we judge amiss, it is GOD who obligingly rescues us time and time again..

Could it be that we ought now to consider God’s standards as the way forth, especially in our interrelations?

How different the world would be!

Thanks for joining us in today’s Divine feast.

In Christ’s love and grace,
