Hello
Around the world in Reformed and Catholic communities alike, today is celebrated as the day of Pentecost. And in some circles, it is considered the birth-day of the Church. Happy birthday to us and may the Spirit of God be outpoured like fire upon each of our lives!
Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:”. Joel 2:28 ASV
The outpouring of God’s Spirit upon us is also the fulfillment of prophecy from the Hebrew scripture. So, although the date might be skewed, the prophecy remains applicable.
And the promise is for everyone! No exceptions – old and young, male and female; you and me. Manifestation includes – not speaking in tongues as many might have anticipated, but – prophecy, spiritual dreams and visions. That’s some serious proof!
When we consider that Jesus also promised us the Holy Spirit – as Comforter, Guide to God’s Truth, Advocate – while assuring us that those who follow Him (Jesus, the Son of God) are blessed with God’s anointing to do Greater Things than He; I say, “Thank God for the Holy Spirit!
Hallelujah!!!
Time to dance like David danced!!!
So , this begs the question – if God’s Spirit is poured out on all humanity; what about you and me? I don’t know about you, but I’m actively craving every Gift God has got for me! I hope you feel the same
If so, join me in asking God for a fresh anointing; for the the manifestation of prophetic dreams and visions and the wisdom/discernment to use the gifts wisely – all for God’s glory!
Blessed Pentecost to each of us. Thank God that on this birthday we each have access to such a precious Gift
Hallelujah
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
