Hello hello hello!
How ate you today? Whatever niggles beset us; lets turn them over to God. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
And the Lord came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.” 1 Samuel 3:10 NLT
One joy of healthy relationships is that element of mutuality. Communication flows in at least two directions. This should be true in platonic, romantic and spiritual relationships. Otherwise; it may be time to jump ship as that may be closer to dictatorship!
Today’s holy nougat invites us to consider our relationship with God, examining our ability First to HEAR God’s voice (despite all other competing sounds) and Secondly to actively LISTEN. We see evidence of God speaking to us in nature and hear through the Sacred Word (the Bible). Many of us hear God’s voice thundering in sermons, keynote speeches and even in worship/songs. But how recently have we heard God’s voice echoing in our hearts? How attuned have we been to God, especially when life is going exceedingly great? Do we suffer from hearing loss when we’re in a bind and we need a change in our situation Right Now?
What is God saying to us today in the face of geopolitical tensions and socio-economic foment raging around us? How is God speaking to us through the niggles?
What time is it – is it time to speak, or to listen and act?
God bless us all
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
