Hello
Perhaps you might be unfamiliar with the expression, “The good you do, the thanks you get”. Yet if you think about the actions, it becomes easier to understand. Today’s Holy Nougat™ seems to capture the essence of the concept
Jesus said, “At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?” John 10:32 NLT
With all the miracles He’d done (even for some of the Jewish religious leadership), Jesus was still advised of being a charlatan. He further added insult to injury by insisting that he was administering miracles on God’s behalf. Not the best answer if Jesus was about preserving His Life. But He wasn’t. He was about God’s business
And that’s the rub
Because we’re called by God to do equal and greater miracles for God in the power of God’s Spirit. And That Is a recipe for opposition. Of all sorts. We just may not realize the extent of it all, (especially since most of us have not been operating to our full potential spiritually). Seriously
So how do we go forward hereafter, knowing that obedience to God has bought us persecution? Obedience now, or sacrifice later? Or are we going to help persecute Christ and continue to deny Him?
May ours be the response in Love.
Counting the cost
In Christ’s love and grace
