Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.” Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Rejoicing

Patience

Prayer

The winning combination.

Regardless of where things stand at the moment, hope says the situation SHALL change. That’s confident hope. And because of the certainty, we rejoice. Not at the now, but the shift that is yet to come.

And, we exercise patience because we KNOW Whom it is that we are part of God’s plan. Patience too is rooted in faith, for we look beyond sight to the proof which is yet to come. Thus, even in the rough seasons, we look to God’s track record, and we wait for the breakthrough.

Patience however, doesn’t preclude Prayer. They’re part of the combo deal. Apart, they are effective. But when exercised together, the effect is powerful. Prayer undergirds our patience and provides strategies to remain hopeful in any situation. Good or bad.

Trials are as likely as death and taxes (sometimes caused by either). Our response may also be predictable if we choose optimism born of confidence in Christ.

May this be included in our 2020 vision, this year and beyond.
