Greetings my dears
How do you make decisions? Today’s Holy Nougat™ seems to ask for the impossible …
Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25 NLT
Not the easiest task. No siree.
The human mind has a natural tendency to do its own thing. Just ask Moses. And if he’s too far removed for you, think about the last time you tried to direct more than one person. Some of us would prefer to make our own mistakes rather than learn from others.
Knowing this, the writer of this letter urges us to allow God’s Spirit to direct our path. Now after the dramatic roadside conversion, Paul should know about following the Spirit’s plan. For he was forced to rely on God and others while blinded for three days.
We don’t have to wait until then. Let’s try one decision at a time. Soon, following the Spirit’s leading will be a habit. Even for the little things – especially for the little things. And so, a prayer
Lord
Our desire is to follow You implicitly. We’re not always good at obedience, we don’t hear You so easily, it’s hard to recognize Your voice … the excuses are perhaps as individualized as we are. But You Lord have the Power to override the excuses.
Today I invite You to direct MY Life. Please. May my mantra be “Speak Lord, I’m listening”; rather than “the good I wish to do I don’t”. Fill me once again with Your Holy Spirit and order my steps I pray in Jesus’s Holy name Amen
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
