Blessed Resurrection season

× Giving our lives to save our lives? Huh? Sometimes Your Word doesn’t make oodles of logic to me Lord. First, You reprimanded Peter for wanting to protect You from death. You even called him ‘Satan!’ Those are strong words.
Then You went off tangent to insist that we shouldn’t try to save ourselves. I really don’t get it Lord
+ Sometimes, You’re not expected to ‘get it’ in one go. And that’s when you do exactly what you just did. You ask me to explain.
It’s all about context and perspective tho. I had just told MY students a bit of what was about to come. Had Peter listened, he might have heard that bit about Me raising Myself from the dead. But then, he was busy registering his protest about my imminent death. That was thwarting God’s plan. A plan for the ENTIRE world!
Go back to the conversation. I outlined the persecution. I referenced the crucifixion and I followed with the resurrection. My Resurrection.
× Come to think of it Lord, that could have been cause for consternation. I can’t speak for Peter; but until You – and come to think of it, never since You – no one had EVER raised themselves from the dead. He probably thought You were blaspheming.

+ True. And that’s why it’s important to NEVER EVER lose sight of I AM. For when you know Who I am, you will recognise me as I AM. I AM the Resurrection and the Light. In Me, a sacrifice finds life again, even when it ought to die.
So if you are willing to give your everything to me; I make it new and filled with life beyond eternity. Just like when you Fast. Although you forfeit food, when you’re done, your perspective has changed and you’re more interested in aligning to MY Purpose. Or when you give your Time; I redeem it and it feels as though you’ve gotten extra time. And likewise, when you commit your treasure to me it comes back to you in multifarious ways. Same thing when you commit your talents to My Glory.
I AM God. Just as I rose myself from the dead, so it is that I treat anything you are willing to commit to me. I add value white restoring it to life and wholeness. In these times, for some of my students around the world, they literally give their lives for My Glory. Some of them die. But not without me ensuring that they enjoy the wonders of Heaven. (And if you’d ever experienced Heaven, you’d find yourself begging me daily to leave earth.) In other instances, where MY students offered their lives their time had not yet come, and they literally received abundance this side of eternity. I don’t owe debts, so whatever you offer to me will be honoured, blessed and returned exponentially.
Trust Me on that.
