Blessings to one and all
This past week, a few of my friends opted to share an article which I’d written earlier this year for an online theological magazine. In the intro to the article, one captured a notable quote to gain the Penticton audience’s attention. I was intrigued. So I read the article to discern the source of the quote.

Now that it’s a worthy quote. Of course, it would be even more valuable if it were balanced with action deriving from the Holy Spirit. Zig Ziglar is credited with saying,
“no one CARES how much we KNOW, until they KNOW how much we CARE.”
Whether it’s his or not, the survivors of the various disasters in the USA and Asia, as well as several others who are trying to overcome various issues which they’re presently undergoing, would LOVE to see us live the anointed life. Just like Jesus.
Could it be that one of the reasons the religious leaders were annoyed by Jesus was His fulfillment of the Isaiah project in Word and deed? For while He commended Mary on her willingness to learn from Him, Jesus spent a lot of His time BEING the Word become flesh abiding with/in us. Now that’s Martha mode.
Perhaps the real lesson is striking the balance; ensuring that our words from the Holy Spirit are enhanced by our actions (which incidentally, is often what others hear first).
Are our actions Sprit-led? Hmmmn (or was that ouch?)
