Good morning
After a long weekend, I’m up and moving despite aching feet. It was a great weekend despite the pain. So I’m counting my blessings. Exactly what today’s Holy Nougat invites us to consider.
“The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words…
Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.”
Lamentations 3:19, 21-22 NLT
Amid our suffering and despair; God is faithful. Constant in blessings and full of grace to us, God’s creation. In our seasons of joy and exultation; God is faithful. Constant in blessings and full of grace to us, God’s creation…
The blessings begin with the gift of life – alive and thankful for grace that brought us through. Even when we’re depressed and lonely God blesses us with the gift of a new day that may make the difference in someone else’s world. In a positive way. Oh yes
And, when we’re not ill or depressed, we are still walking and waking in blessings. Though many of us take the blessings for granted. And many of the ‘new every morning’ blessings seem to come so naturally, it doesn’t always register. There’s also the matter of sin that is forgiven even before we confess them. Or unexpected little joys that pop up in the nick of time.
Perhaps if we began counting …
In Christ’s love and grace . . .
