Nougat 19
My dears,
We must have realized that our Spiritual armour requires daily polishing and is to be on at ALL times. It is not uncommon however for us believers to miss one very special piece of our armour. Today’s Holy Nougat
“Pray in the Ruach on every occasion, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, keep alert with perseverance and supplication for all the kedoshim.” Ephesians 6:18 TLV
A quick note on potentially unfamiliar terms
- Ruach: the Spirit of God
- Kedoshim: believers
So we are encouraged to pray every chance we get. But this is not just any old prayer … we are called as warriors; be it seasoned or young recruits; to Pray in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit is more than just unknown tongues. It also involves being attuned to God so we know How to pray Where and even Who to pray for How. This is about intercession my dears; praying to transform lives – ours and others.
Many pastors have raised the alarm that too many of us believers are contented with others praying and not doing so for ourselves. We realize that that puts us at a serious disadvantage in warfare; because we are weak when we fail to pray. And since Romans 8 states that when we pray God’s Spirit ushers our petitions (including those beyond words) live and direct to God. So if we opt out of Prayer, we opt out of Power (stamina for the battle).
Can we truly afford to give up without even resisting? The enemy of our souls is STILL on the offensive. And our failure to pray plays right into the game plan to defeat us.
We are called as warriors, each of us, to serious Prayer. This would be the warrior cry of psalm 68; more so, the kind of prayer Jesus prayed in John 17. And if we have a prayer language, it is most appropriate. (Should this be a desire, then now would be the brine to ask God for same. It is that important!!!)
And so tight now, wherever we are, regardless of what we are doing; let’s stop and Pray. It could be essential for our breakthrough.
