This is the day that God has gifted us anew; how shall we rejoice and be glad in it? Today’s Holy Nougat encourages us
to prioritize God right now
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalms 100:4 NLT
It’s literally as though we’re seeking access to God’s inner sanctum. Or if we’re trying to find the key to enter spaces where God might be.
What are some things that we might thank God for right this moment?
Having identified them let’s go thanking.
And just like that; we’d have entered a special dimension with God. Not by a dry, halfhearted ‘thank You Jesus’; that was grumblingly rendered – oh no! – but from a seriously intentional approach to gratitude. The kind that ends with humility as we realize truly how much we owe to God; and not our own skills.
And we won’t stop at just thanking God because we also are choosing to love on Jesus as if there’s no tomorrow Let’s act like we’re practicing for an eternity of praise! And when we do, we’ll be even closer to intimacy with God, since praise situates us in God’s courtyard. Hmmn hmnh
As we position ourselves to thanksgiving and praise, perhaps we might be inclined to brag on God à bit. Declare God’s goodness in all we are doing. Tell a friend and invite them to do likewise. Whatever we do today, I pray that God is the subject and the object of it all.
