Nougat 19

There are several regions/countries on my heart for prayer – Israel-Palestine, Nigeria, India, St Vincent, Ethiopia, and Cameroon – we definitely need to be in watchful prayer in these times. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat

“Rejoice always, pray constantly. Brothers and sisters, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-17, 25‬ ‭TLV‬‬

Lord, sometimes it feels like we know not how to pray; for before we’re done processing the news in one space, there’s another equally distressing crisis somewhere else. But You Lord know the time and the seasons. And You have mandated us to be in watchful prayer at all times. (Perhaps this is how we pray without ceasing. For to truly be in prayer for the world, plus interceding for others, requires that we remain in constant prayer!). With this in mind, we come before Your throne, inviting Your mercy.

Lord, the ongoing wars fulfill prophecy, but must certainly be grievous to Your Spirit. Your Word says You would that NONE should perish; yet people are dying in all kinds of grim ways. And while we know that You were referencing life beyond earth, this onslaught of death cannot be pleasing to You. We place everyone in Israel-Palestine, Nigeria, India, St Vincent, Ethiopia, Cameroon and even those not listed before You as we plead for shalom – peace of body, mind and of spirit. Please Jesus, by Your shed blood, have mercy!

The signs are there, time’s changing – there’s wars in Israel-Palestine, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia and the Middle East; global pestilence which is in its third phase and really devastating India; peril in St Vincent and several other parts of the world. Lord, it’s as if we’re back to the Flood, Jesus please have mercy!Grant peace to each of Your children, especially those who are called by Your name. Heal the nations please Lord, we pray in Jesus name.

As You ready us for The Moment when that Last Trumpet sounds, help us pray for others while ensuring our salvation is sure. Remind us to clean our house and invite others to prepare for any moment could be our moment to meet You. Help us to fight with Peace that prepares the way and calms the seas; instead of vindictiveness, anger and bitterness. Forgive us our pettiness and help us focus on You. We pray for conviction to help our neighbors; accompanying our prayer for the nations with tangible testimonies of Your love. Be glorified in all these situations and seasons we pray in Jesus Christ amen
