Have you ever travelled away from home before? Especially as a person of Color or from a nation classified as a Developing Country? In several instances, travel becomes very tedious. Especially if the officials from the ‘receiving’ country are unfriendly. Then, their customer service may incline you to acknowledge that “you’re just a visitor here” … even if you had hope of becoming established as a migrant. If that’s your experience, do not worry, today’s Holy Nougat™ confirms that this should be somewhat normative for us.
This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to God’s chosen people who are living as foreigners in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.

Being a Jamaican, most persons can trace my nationality because of my speech and occasionally by my mannerisms. I used particular words in my speech which better my identity and until I switch nationality, I hold a Jamaican passport. But we also hold dual citizenship. For as Christians, we retain the nuances of our spiritual home in our daily.
Perhaps we ought not be too surprised when we are not positively received because of our spiritual nationality. There are times when it’s hard to remember that we’re God’s Chosen. Weekend we want to But God calls us to be proud foreigners nevertheless. And until we get back home, let us continue to live and love as God has called us, for God’s glory through the power of Jesus Christ.
