Consider today’s Holy Nougat and the conversation which follows. Is there anything different you would add?
“And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within his own authority.” Acts 1:7 ASV
^ But Lord, that’s our hearts’ desire – we like to be in the know, preferably before everyone else. Is that truly wrong?
* So let’s go a little deeper – why do you NEED to be in the Know; does it truly impact your quality of life? And if each person has to have insider knowledge, does that mean that you intend to treat everyone like an insider?
^ Insider? Well, erm, we-e-e-ell; not really. Some people could presume relationships that are not … ahh could we ignore that response please
I guess insider knowledge is more about power or presumed power as knowing is currency.
* Now we’re getting somewhere! Why do you say it’s currency?
^ Currency affords someone the chance to do or access something desired which is outside of their possession; in the way money, checks or even credit cards operate. Knowing Your Purpose and plans is currency for many of us. Especially when we can use it with others. Unfortunately, many of us abuse it. I guess it dates back to Eden – we kinda want to be You when it suits us; but without the commensurate responsibility or commitment. Oh dear
* So do you still want to be in the know now?
^ Well yes and no Lord. I think I want to know SOME things; but I really don’t want to get ahead of You or myself. So … does that make me bad or sinful. You know what Lord; let’s shelve that until some other time.
