I left home dressed for the blistering heat. Suddenly, the weather changed. I was not prepared. Miserable, cold, slightly lost. In pain from inappropriate footwear. In the rain, a little girl caught my eye and smiled. The misery dissipated. Then a stranger shared the use of the newly purchased umbrella. My feet still ached, the rain was now pouring down in sheets, I was dripping and still a little lost.
But my perspective shifted. Truly, it was as though the two actions affirmed God’s presence with me on the journey. My soul soared upward; a song flung up to heaven. In my heart, the Son had come out; giving unarticulated action to today’s Holy Nougat
“My mouth shall speak the praise of Jehovah; And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.” Psalms 145:21 ASV
Hello my dears
Have you had one such experience – where a little act or two transforms your perspective on all else that is flung at you?
I was brought back to God’s provision and promise – with us always; especially when there’s only one footprint.
Through adversity, may the little things assure us of God’s grace so that our mouths speak God’s praise and invite all flesh to join in the worship!
Selah
