Greetings my dear

Please pardon the delay with the posting today. But, nevertheless, here’s today’s Holy Nougat

““O Lord, God of my master, Abraham,” he prayed. “Please give me success today, and show unfailing love to my master, Abraham.”

Genesis 24:12 NLT

He did not necessarily relate to God personally; nevertheless he prayed to him. He appealed to his mastet’s God based on what he experienced/understood secondhand from his master’s relationship with God. And, since he was on an urgent mission for his master, it was only natural that he seek help from his master’s God. (And, according to the end of the narrative, God came through for him big time)

There were moments when Abraham’s faith seemed unfounded, the fulfillment of promises took a while for delivery. Yet, his lived faith was enough to impact his servant to the extent that the servant appealed to God. His prayer was simple and to the point.

1. Recognition of the authority of his master’s God

2. Plea for success with his assignment

3. Connecting his appeal to a blessing for his Master

How do our lives impact those in our circle of influence? Would they be inclined to call on our God bases on our lived faith (even in the face of disappointment or pressure)?

Hmmmm

In and for Christ’s love
