First the background to today’s Holy Nougat™
The threat had come long before. King Jehoshaphat had his moments of fear and distress. Everything seemed to be doomed to failure.
But God
In his distress Jehoshaphat called the fast. He invited the entire nation to join him. He lay vulnerable and bare before the Lord, and he reminded God of God’s own mighty acts and promises. Afterwards, he did it afraid. Jehosaphat began to Praise.
Then God –
At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.
2 Chronicles 20:22 NLT
Now for the application –
What armies and terrors dare to stand before you today? What circumstances seem to be overwhelming you and bringing you to your knees?
Summon your friends, family, familiars and declare the fast. It’s time for a But God breakthrough.
Recount the many blessings and breakthrough of yesteryear. Remind God of Who God is. Revive the promises already fulfilled and the prophesies about to be unleashed in your life.
While they fight with sword and spear, fight on your knees and demolish those mental and spiritual strongholds which seek to promote themselves above the knowledge of Christ.
Let the Praises ring
Then God … Will pour out God’s Spirit and break the yokes – then Moab, Ammon and Mt Seir MUST FALL!
Today, I join you in your prayer and urge you to join me in destroying the yoke once and for all.
We praise God for the breakthrough, as we anticipate release from that which overwhelms us.
