Isn’t it funny how Herod was reportedly an ardent fan of John’s; yet in order to appease his step daughter, he facilitated the authorisation of John’s beheading. The same John whom he purportedly respected and admired,
A word in season for each of us as we undertake our life’s journeys. Just because someone seems to enjoy our company, it doesn’t translate to loyalty when it matters the most. Not everyone who smiles with us has or best interest at heart. Sometimes, the cares of the world will overwhelm their consciences and their consciousness; and in that moment, integrity is forsaken at the altar of materialism
And in some instances,, the disloyal person is us!
Heaven help us all! Lord Jesus, in Your mercy, deliver us from the cares of the world. Tune our lives to Your frequency, so that You are priority. Be glorified dear Lord we pray …
