Hello

Speaking a blessing over you today. Here’s today’s Holy Nougat ™

He scooped some of the honey into his hands and ate it along the way. He also gave some to his father and mother, and they ate it. But he didn’t tell them he had taken the honey from the carcass of the lion. Judges 14:9 NLT

Interesting. Part of the expectations for the Nazarite involved avoidance of dead animals or people. As a Nazarite, Samson should not have eaten the honey, hence his silence regarding the source of the honey.

Ironically, Samson ran the risk of leading his parents astray by sharing the honey with them from such a questionable source. And so it is with us. There are times when we sin deliberately. Unfortunately, like Samson, we try to sweep it under the rug or pretend that all is well.

Let’s do things differently henceforth. Where we have been guilty of conscious sinning, we pause right now to seek forgiveness. And if we have sinned without being aware, we give those over to the Lord also. Whether intentional or accidental, our sins hurt God. So truly let’s change things around today.

And may all the glory be God”s.

In Christ’s love and grace . . .
