Here’s today’s Holy Nougat
“O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God! Even now your enemies are in tumult; those who hate you have raised their heads.” Psalms 83:1-2 NRSV
These are fighting words.
Someone is sick and tired of being sick and tired of the pain and misery around them. Is it you? Me?
Someone is at the limit and crying to YHWH for Justice. Ironically, that someone is choosing to vent to the one who can actually change the status quo. Is it you? Me?
Someone has shifted the object of injustice from the suffering to the Maker and Defender of the suffering. Is it you? Me?
These are fighting words.
Someone is righting the balance of power in the fight by taking ‘us’ out of the battle and allowing God to be God.
Who is ready for God to dispense Justice? Is it you? Me?
