Nougat 17

Greetings, dear loved ones of God. I pray you are well. It’s a beautiful day to praise God, and we worship in spirit and, in truth. As we think about waiting on God’s timing, I pray we remember it’s all about God’s love. Because God loves us, it is well. Consider Today’s Holy Nougat

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Dependable God

Sometimes, especially in moments of trial, it is hard to believe that God has time to accommodate us or our wishes. Yet, God does. Not only does God make time for us, God makes provision for us, and meets us at the point where we are, tenderly taking us to where we ought to be.

Sometimes, there is need to pause, to have us rest for a while, for the journey is long. And God doesn’t always tell us all that the journey entails. Look at Abraham, for example. His journey began at 75, with instructions to go to a land that would become the inheritance of his children and children’s children. Yet it took almost 25 years before his son was born.

Anna, the prophetess, was widowed some 70 years and lived in the temple all that time, awaiting the birth of the Messiah. I suspect she might have wondered occasionally if it would happen in her time, but she persevered. And her patience was rewarded.

The widow Jesus mentioned in the parable of Luke 18 sought justice. She went before the judge repeatedly until He grew weary. She wore him down. He finally ruled in her favour. And Jesus said God’s track record is far better than that of the unjust judge.

David waited close to 35 years to actually sit on the throne, despite being crowned king all that time before. David was God’s own choice, yet he had to wait. Rizpah kept watch over the corpses of Saul’s sons for months, fasting the entire time until they were afforded a decent burial.

Indeed, it is true. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith not only comes by hearing, but it is also born of experience. For, in our experience of God, we come to the realisation that God honours promises. We can, therefore, persevere because we stand in the knowledge that God not only came through for folks ‘in the Bible days’, God’s had come through for us too.

If we’re at a loss to see what God has done, let’s start with the fact that we’re up again today. That’s a new gift of life delivered to us. Every day. This is a clear reminder that God continues to provide. In sure that if we pause long enough, we could find other blessings God had sent our way.

Yes, our God is dependable. Our God is kind. Our God’s mercies NEVER fail. Let’s remind ourselves and strengthen our faith in God.
